Thanks for your efforts. I'd think Microsoft would be able to implement a simple check where if driver ver. Its just simply better to use DDU, because it will already stop windows from installing the driver and will also clean old gpu drivers entirely from the system and clean all registry values from AMD or Nvidia. DDU makes a deep gpu drivers cleaning and prevents windows from downloading and installing the older ones.
DDU does nothing to stop Windows from automatically updating the drivers. It doesn't even remove the old drivers from C: It simply removes all vestiges of the current drivers. I can confirm this occurs even with automatic driver installation disabled.
I suspect it was triggered after a specific Windows update yes, I should have dug deeper. Then rebooted and installed the latest Crimsons. I've never had them roll back to a previous version before. And if this occurred because I had used autoupdate for the previous couple version of driver, well, perhaps autoupdate shouldn't even be an option if it results in this behavior!
I just want Windows to do the logical thing and not roll back my driver. It really shouldn't do this. AMD and Microsoft need to have a come-to-Jesus moment here. Should have been in there from day 1. This cannot go on. I'm not in charge of my own PC anymore. We are powerless to stop this from happening. AMD never replied to me. How do Microsoft get these Drivers? It's gone on for far too long now! When i go to the devide manager I can see both intel hd and amd R7 M graphics card, both controlers are up to date.
But in the crimson app of amd it tells that there is an update for drivers. I comes by default on I first did the And even in the device manager it was renamed as well, then I installed the I couldnt find any information about my amd graphic card but this: Even on the official AMD site there is no information about this card. So how can I know if I have the rights drivers installed?

Have you prevented Microsoft from installing drivers automatically? Thought you might be looking for options to block. Just noticed this in one of the tuts Yep, but there is option 4 I'll have to have a read up again now. There are these, which I haven't read up recently,. Not being in charge is a win10 thing, but you can override many 10 settings.
Have a look at the "windows update" ,"device drivers" tuts first. Although it's not wide spread as far as I know, yet? I didn't get it included.
